About the Author: Linda Boyden is an American storyteller, author, and retired teacher. After the publication of her first picture book in 2002, she wrote and created the images found in Powwow's Coming from cut-paper collage in 2007.

About the Author: As a member of the Muscogee Nation in Austin, Texas, Cynthia Leitich Smith is also an author of children's books, young adult fiction, essays, and short stories.
